My Story

Welcome to Lynn's Aloha Fashions, where every stitch is made with love and every garment celebrates the spirit of aloha.

Lynn's Aloha Fashions is the culmination of a lifelong love of sewing and a deep appreciation for the beauty, warmth, and spirit of the Hawaiian Islands.

My sewing journey began in the fourth grade. My grandfather and I had a long-distance relationship built through letter writing, and he offered to buy my patterns and fabric if I would let my mother teach me how to sew. True to his word, he worked out the details with my mom, and my sewing lessons began.

Over the next several years, sewing became a special way for me to feel connected to him. In seventh grade, I made a beautiful blue knit dress that I was proud enough to photograph and send to him. His kind and encouraging response stayed with me and helped deepen my love of creating things by hand.

In my late twenties, I discovered tropical-print fabrics and fell in love with their vibrant colors, rich patterns, and joyful energy. After visiting Hawaii for the first time in my thirties, that love grew even stronger.

For many years, I made Hawaiian shirts for my husband, who loved the colors and the feeling of wearing something handmade with love. I also created dresses and shirts for myself, along with special pieces for family and friends.

As retirement approached, my husband often laughed and said he could not imagine me ever truly retiring because I was never able to sit still. He was right.

When he passed away in 2020, I had to rethink what retirement would look like. Our plans had centered around travel and spending more time together. Without him, I began searching for something that would keep me active, engaged, and connected to what I loved.

That became the beginning of Lynn's Aloha Fashions.

Today, I continue to sew because I love the creative process, the beauty of tropical fabrics, and the joy of sharing handmade pieces with others. Every item in my shop is individually handmade to order with care, attention to detail, and a genuine love for the craft.

Whether you're looking for matching family outfits for a Hawaiian vacation, a special dress for your little one, a tropical shirt for someone you love, or a unique accessory to brighten your day, my hope is that each creation brings joy, comfort, and a little piece of the aloha spirit into your life.

I believe handmade clothing tells a story. Every piece that leaves my sewing room has been thoughtfully created, carefully sewn, and made especially for you. It is my privilege to create something that becomes part of your family's memories, celebrations, vacations, and everyday moments.
